Children & Young Adults
There will be a dedicated video link room for families. Children and young adults are welcome to attend the Festival. However, for their safety and well-being, some special conditions apply. Please note that two responsible adult carers must be nominated for all children’s bookings if the child is 15 years old and under.
Due to the public nature of the Festival, children’s safety and welfare is the responsibility of their nominated responsible adult carers at all times. KMC Montreal does not assume responsibility for children attending the Festival. Children (of all ages) must be under adult supervision at all times..
How to Book for a Child
In the checkout form of your own booking for the Canadian Festival, there is a question asking if you will be attending with a child (15 and under). If you answer ‘yes’ to that question, you will receive more information by email on how to complete the registration process for children.
Fees for Children
Festival
• 0-7 years: no charge
• 8-15 years: 50% discount
• 16+ years: full adult price
Accommodation
We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 16 in the KMC Montreal accommodations.
Festival Passes
To help ensure the safety of your child, and so that they can be easily reunited with their carers in case of difficulties arise, passes for children under 16 will display the names of 2 nominated responsible adult carers, identified on the back of their passes.
Under 16’s bookings can only be confirmed when the names of 2 responsible adult carers have been received. Because these passes are prepared in advance, you must provide these names prior to your arrival.
Video Link
A separate children's area with video link will be available for children to enjoy the sessions with their responsible carer. Stewarding will be provided in this area. If you are a parent with young children and would like to volunteer to help, please contact festivals@kadampa.ca.
