Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is a retired General Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU, he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than forty years. His humility and pure example reflect his many years of reliance on his Spiritual Guide.

An internationally renowned Teacher, he is greatly admired as a sincere practitioner and a powerful Teacher. He is also well-known for his wisdom and deep understanding of Buddha's teachings, and for his pure example of compassion and loving-kindness.

    Just a few steps away from Laurier Métro Station, KMC Montréal is on Laurier Street at the corner of St-André, in the trendy neighborhood of Le Plateau Mont-Royal.

    Surrounded by beautiful parks and cozy cafes, the Centre is in the middle of a very walkable area and is seen by many passersby through all seasons.

  • Finding street parking around the Centre can be challenging.

  • There are many hotels and rental properties in Montreal that are close to the venue either by walking or subway, bus, taxi or Uber ride away!

    The venue is located within a neighbourhood called "Le Plateau Mont-Royal".

  • The closest airport to the venue is Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). 

    Public transportation is available from the airport:
    Take the 747 Bus line from the Airport to Berri-UQAM Station or Lionel-Groulx Station. The 747 bus line runs 24/7 between YUL and downtown Montréal.

    Taxis and Uber can be waiting outside the airport. The venue is about 35 minutes by car and about an hour via public transit. 

  • The Festival is organized and run by volunteers. There are many opportunities and ways in which you can help, such as preparing food, serving, clearing, cleaning, setting up, helping in the café or bookshop.  Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet other Kadampas from across Canada. Your contribution of time and energy is an important part of making the Festival happen and is deeply appreciated.
